How you can celebrate Study Abroad Day
Your study abroad experience is unique – and deserves to be celebrated! For study abroad day this year, get involved in the movement. Here’s some ideas to participate:
- Share your experiences on Instagram, TikTok, or your favorite social media platform using the hashtag #studyabroadday
- Follow @studyabroadday on Instagram to join the conversation
- Get involved in events held on your campus
- Ask your IE / Study Abroad faculty members to hold an event at your organization (show & tell event, study abroad fair, party on campus, 5k run / walk, etc)
- Ask faculty to share about their study abroad experience during their classroom discussions
- Make buttons to wear and handout
- Coordinate a Social Media Take-over for the day on your institution’s account
- Listen to an episode of “STAMPED-The Study Abroad Podcast” – you could also consider hosting a discussion about the episode with cohorts, and/or friends/colleagues related to diversity abroad
- Create a Zoom background using Study Abroad Day branding and/or photos from your study abroad experience – or if you prefer, we have some pre-made you can use in the toolkit!
- Ask your university president or leadership of the organization to create a video for the website/social media
